Salto
94 Yigal Alon Street, Building 2, Floor 21, Tel Aviv, 6789139, Israel
Overview
Salto offers a platform that unites configuration, testing, analysis, and compliance for business SaaS applications, providing both an open-source and an enterprise SaaS product. It applies software development concepts to enable teams to track, untangle, and propagate changes across apps and enforce processes so departmental software stacks operate cohesively. Customers report major time savings and improved auditability—one cited cutting Salesforce and HubSpot update times by 75%—and the platform aims to increase return on existing SaaS licenses. Founded in 2019 by Rami Tamir, Benny Schnaider, and Gil Hoffer, Salto has offices in Tel Aviv and San Francisco. With the new funding Salto plans to rapidly expand capacity to configure more business applications and support a total of 10 applications by the end of 2021. Financially, the company has raised $69 million to date following a $42 million Series B announced in this round. Salto provides an open-source platform and tooling that enable business operations teams to define and deploy SaaS application configurations as code. Its core offering includes the NaCl declarative configuration language, a CLI for deploying and fetching configuration state, and a VS Code extension; the company emphasizes Git-based collaboration and staging workflows. Salto announced a hosted (paid) version of its service alongside its open-source core as its commercial model. Today it supports integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot and NetSuite, with additional connectors planned. The company positions its product as applying software development best practices to BizOps, framing the approach as “company-as-code.” Salto is coming out of stealth and announced a $27M Series A concurrently.
