Salviol develops FROPS, a big-data software platform that monitors internal and external processes to detect and prevent fraudulent activity. The product is supported by a continually updated database of known global fraud schemes to identify emerging patterns. Its main customers are banks, insurance companies and telcos. The company was founded in 2009 and has been bootstrapped to date, and it claims to be profitable. Salviol plans to use new funding to expand European and international operations, including the U.S. and Asian markets, and to drive sales. Management has said it also intends to make FROPS available directly to end customers in 2016.
