Overview
Sammaan Capital, formerly known as Indiabulls Housing Finance, is a non-banking financial company (NBFC) focused on affordable housing finance. The lender is targeting ₹1 trillion (≈$11.27 billion) in assets under management by FY 2027 and aims to re-enter the ranks of India’s top three to five NBFCs by FY 2030. Management is opening roughly 10 new branches a month, largely in tier-4 and tier-5 cities, and plans 60–70 additional outlets over the next six to nine months. Its core products are home loans and loans against property, with plans to explore gold loans and personal loans for lower- to middle-income borrowers once scale is achieved. The company’s growth had slowed after India’s 2018 NBFC liquidity crunch, but it was rebranded as Sammaan Capital in July 2024. A recent $1 billion capital infusion from Abu Dhabi’s International Holding Company (IHC) provides fresh “firepower” and access to technology resources to accelerate expansion.
