Overview
Samotics offers a Software-as-a-Service platform that uses AI-based electrical signature analysis (ESA) to monitor current and voltage signals of electric-driven motor systems. The platform delivers real-time, actionable insights to prevent asset failure, optimize performance, and improve energy efficiency, with particular suitability for harsh industrial environments such as submerged pumps and hot strip mills. Its solution is deployed at scale across wastewater/water, steel, and chemical sectors and monitors thousands of assets. The company reports 150% revenue growth over the past 12 months and added 30 new customers, including Thames Water and NLMK Steel, and lists customers such as Anglian Water, ArcelorMittal, Nobian, Schneider Electric, and TotalEnergies. Samotics has also signed strategic partnerships, notably with Schneider Electric. The company plans to use the new funding to expand its customer base in existing and new markets, advance its energy and condition-monitoring platform capabilities, and grow the team. Samotics (formerly Semiotic Labs) develops AI-driven predictive maintenance solutions and analytics for AC motors and rotating equipment, delivered via its SAM4 system. Its SAM4 system is integrated into Schneider Electric services and the company says its solutions help eliminate downtime, lower risk, decrease maintenance costs and reduce energy waste. Founded in 2015 and based in Leiden, Netherlands, Samotics has expanded its international client base to include Total, Henkel, Evonik, FrieslandCampina, ArcelorMittal, Nouryon, Sappi and Vopak. In the past twelve months Samotics more than doubled its employee headcount and plans to relocate to larger headquarters to accommodate growth. The company recently earned ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification and will use a new €5 million funding round to accelerate US expansion, expedite rollout of new features, and further technological innovation. Samotics aims to make 0% unplanned downtime the norm and intends to empower customers across industries with best-in-class smart asset monitoring and analytics.
