Sarcophagus
New York, United States
Overview
Sarcophagus is a general-purpose smart contract acting as a dead man's switch: autonomous, censorship resistant, and immutable. The dApp is designed to forward private key information or other data to designated recipients if a user fails to perform an action, with use cases including key recovery for heirs and political-activist disclosures. The project is open-source under the Unlicense and was built by a global team of developers, crypto enthusiasts, and security experts; it has not yet been audited. Sarcophagus was incubated by Web3 venture studio Decent Labs, which helped launch and position the project around decentralization and transparency. The team highlights the protocol's ability to empower users to control their own information and provide assurance against suppression and accidents. Recently the project demonstrated on-chain fundraising and broader community participation through a fully on-chain raise.
