Satelytics is a cloud-based geospatial analytics software company that uses advanced spectral imagery and machine learning to monitor environmental changes, including methane emissions. The company collects high-resolution spectral imagery from the planet’s surface using satellites, drones, and planes and processes it in the cloud. Led by CEO Sean Donegan and based in Toledo, Ohio, Satelytics targets the energy sector with applications for monitoring emissions and other environmental indicators. In June 2020 it received a $5M investment from bp through its venturing business. Satelytics intends to use the funds to further develop its technology and scale its applications across the oil and gas sector.
