Saturn is a community-centric social platform built around the calendar that enables users to manage and share their schedules with friends. The app layers messaging and other social features for groups, clubs, and teams on top of a calendaring utility people use multiple times a day. The company has seen growth in hundreds of U.S. high schools to date and is preparing to expand nationally this fall. Saturn raised more than $44M and will use the funding to grow its engineering and product teams and to accelerate expansion. Founded in 2019 by Dylan Diamond and Max Baron, the pair left university to pursue Saturn full-time and were named to Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2020. Diamond previously worked as a software engineer at Tesla and built a best-selling paid education app; Baron has marketing and strategy experience at Beats by Dre, T‑Mobile and led youth marketing at Havas.
