Overview

SavorEat is developing a customised 3D-printer that uses infrared light to simultaneously print and cook nutritionally tailored plant-based products, including burger patties. The printer is intended to use bio-cartridges containing plant proteins, fats, flavor components and nano-cellulose to mimic desired textures. The company frames the technology for distributed, hyper-local production in restaurants, hospitals, delivery kitchens and other institutional settings, enabling dietary personalization and reduced cold-chain dependence. SavorEat holds an exclusive commercialisation license from Hebrew University’s technology transfer arm Yissum and has explored novel ingredients such as nano-cellulose to improve texture. Founded in 2018 with co-founders Racheli Vizman, Oded Shoseyov and Ido Braslavsky, the team is positioning the product to lower labour and biocontrol risks while collecting consumer preference data. Recent funding commitments have been secured to advance hardware and cartridge development and roll-out plans.
