Scandion Oncology
Fruebjergvej 3, Copenhagen, 2100, Denmark
Overview
Scandion Oncology is a Copenhagen-based biotech formed to develop drugs and predictive biomarkers aimed at overcoming chemotherapy resistance. Its lead compound, SCO-101, is described as a first-in-class candidate that was previously evaluated in Phase 1 studies for another indication. The company also acquired a platform of chemical analogues and associated know-how to expand its anti-cancer pipeline. Scandion plans to use recent proceeds to advance SCO-101 toward a Phase 2a study in chemotherapy-resistant cancer and to mature the company for a potential public listing. It has entered a manufacturing collaboration with Cambrex to produce GMP material for SCO-101 and has established an independent board and management team. Founded in May 2017 as a Saniona spin-out, Scandion is actively preparing additional financing in spring 2018 through either an extra private placement or a public listing.
