Scape builds an AI-first email inbox that proactively drafts responses, creates or edits attachments, and surfaces only the emails that require attention using custom labels and a built-in local meeting notetaker. The product continuously learns from a user’s entire inbox and meetings to prepare drafts and include relevant attachments ready to review and send. The company was founded by Melvin Hagberg while he participated in Y Combinator’s summer 2024 batch; Elis Hodzic joined as co-founder in 2025 after initially backing the startup as an investor. Scape began as a customer support email tool before pivoting to a general-purpose intelligent inbox. The team is five people based in Stockholm and plans to expand hiring across engineering and product as it grows. Scape launched early access at scape.app according to the reporting.
