Founded in 1978 by Harry Boody and based in High Point, the company offers residential HVAC design services and has designed thousands of systems. According to an SEC filing, it raised another $717,500 in private equity as part of a Reg D offering. That brings total equity sold to $1.6 million after a May raise of $887,500, and the company is seeking an additional $145,000 to reach its $1.75 million offering. The filing did not disclose investors or the intended use of proceeds. Scientific Environmental’s stated mission is to provide customers the lowest cost of ownership through design methods that deliver high efficiency, comfort and air quality.
