The company relaunched in March 2007 after an initial introduction in 2006 and has grown to nearly 2 million registered users who have created over 4 million scrapblog pages. Scrapblog monetizes via scrapbook printing, sponsored promotions, and a virtual goods market called the Scrapblog Marketplace for purchasable designs. The Marketplace, described in coverage as an “iTunes for Scrapbooking,” sells designs from leading artists to the site’s niche user base. The site also maintains partnerships with major media sites including Disney, Discovery, Photobucket, and ABC. The company’s financial base was recently strengthened by a new funding round that increased total financing to date.
