Scratch Music Group is a New York City-based music and technology company founded in 2002 that operates a national DJ network and the Scratch DJ Academy. Over the past year it has expanded into the wedding market, combining customer service, personalized music choices and social network-enabled playlist software. The company also runs Scratch Events and Scratch Software businesses alongside the Academy and Scratch Weddings. Scratch recently moved its corporate headquarters to the Village Voice building in Manhattan’s East Village and maintains offices in Miami and Los Angeles. It plans to use the new financing to grow its Scratch Weddings business and to support its Academy, Events and Software units.
