Scribestar is a SaaS provider of cloud-based editing and review application tools for lawyers, initially targeting capital markets transactions. The product is designed for secure collaboration among multiple reviewers and includes features that optimise prospectus drafting and filing for equity and debt financings. The company was founded in London in 2009 and has a long-standing development partnership with three top-rated law firms and is working with a further fifteen "big law" firms on the commercial product. Scribestar raised £2.85m ($4.8m) from private investors in an oversubscribed financing, bringing total funds raised to approximately £7m ($11.8m) since 2010. A commercial launch of the application is planned for summer 2014. Ahead of launch the company appointed Andrew Prozes as Executive Chairman (who also invested) and Greg Lunn as Chief Operations Officer to strengthen the executive team.
