Overview

Scripped offers web-based screenwriting software that enables individual and collaborative script writing and editing. The company merged with competitor Zhura to combine products and communities, doubling its registered user base to about 60,000 and reporting a new sign-up every 20 minutes. Scripped relocated to San Francisco to join incubator i/o ventures; Zhura was founded in 2007 and is based in Boston, while Scripped was founded in 2008 and previously operated from Los Angeles. Co-founder Sunil Rajaraman remains CEO of the merged company, and the board of advisors now includes Keith Richman and Ashwin Navin. Financially, Scripped said the merger deal size is in the "seven-figure range" and also announced $250,000 in new funding from private angel investors. The combined platform continues to provide online collaboration tools for screenwriters backed by fresh angel capital and added advisory support.
