Scytale is a founding contributor to the Cloud Native Computing Foundation’s SPIFFE and SPIRE projects and offers service identity management for cloud-native enterprises. The company has launched Scytale Enterprise, an industry-first service identity management product that enables frictionless service authentication across cloud, container, and on‑premise platforms. Scytale will use the new financing to launch and commercialize its offering based on the popular open-source projects. The company positions its product to address hybrid cloud authentication challenges faced by Fortune 500 identity and access management engineering teams. Scytale was founded in 2017 by engineers from Amazon Web Services, Google, Okta, PagerDuty, and Duo Security. Leadership says the product will help enterprises standardize and automate service authentication, accelerate cloud adoption, and advance zero‑trust infrastructure.
