Seafair is a maritime recruitment platform that vets seafarers and matches them with shipping operators using matching algorithms and provides HR software to consolidate hiring and crew data. The company focuses on senior officer roles such as chief engineers and ship masters and is licensed to operate as an agency in Ukraine and the Philippines. The platform runs background checks and online assessments, schedules interviews, handles deployment including digital contracts, and verifies employers and vessels before they can use the service. Its HR tools manage payments, insurance, schedules and rest hours and include maritime-specific features like certification expiry alerts and salary recommendations. Seafair launched late last year by Agapitos Diakogiannis and counts one of the world’s top 100 shipping companies among its clients. The company has raised $5.7M in the latest round, bringing total funding to about $7M, and will use the new capital to build more vetting technology and expand into Germany, the Nordic countries and the United States.
