Overview

Seal Security is an application security provider that automatically curates and delivers production-ready patches to eliminate open source vulnerabilities across the software stack, from dependencies and operating systems to container base images. Its platform installs fixes without requiring version upgrades or complex migrations, enabling teams to keep current environments secure and protect future deployments. The company emphasizes a patching-first approach powered by LLMs to reduce vulnerability backlogs and accelerate remediation. Seal reports rapid customer growth, substantial ARR expansion, and has more than doubled headcount over the past year. It commits to a 72-hour CVE remediation SLA and targets AppSec, DevOps, DevSecOps, and IT teams in regulated environments. Seal says customers achieve remediation in hours or minutes and that the product helps maintain compliance with standards such as PCI DSS, FedRAMP, DORA, CRA, and NYDFS. The company plans to use the new funding to enhance go-to-market efforts and accelerate expansion of its core platform. Seal Security builds tooling that goes beyond vulnerability scanning by creating and applying patches to remediate issues in open-source packages. Its platform integrates with GitHub to enable these patches in customers' CI/CD pipelines and automates much of the workflow. The company generates patches itself and leverages a large language model to help identify the commits that introduced fixes, which the team says enables scalability. Seal was founded by Itamar Sher (CEO), Lev Pachmanov (CTO) and Alon Navon (CPO); the team joined forces in summer 2022 after prior roles at Unit 8200, Cymmetria, Curv and PayPal. The product aims to reduce alert noise for developers and shift enterprise focus from triage to remediation. Financially, Seal announced a $7.4 million seed round led by Vertex Ventures Israel, with participation from Crew Capital, PayPal Alumni Fund and Cyber Club London.
