Searchable.ai is building an AI-driven search product aimed at solving workplace search across local networks, cloud repositories, email and Slack. The company is in alpha, testing a personal desktop version with a few thousand people in the program. It is currently pre-revenue and raised additional capital to extend its runway. The roadmap includes a teams version for group search, a developer version to embed search into other operations, and an eventual enterprise tool. The company also plans to add voice search beginning with an Alexa skill and emphasizes conversational, natural-language interaction over keyword search. CEO Brian Shin said macroeconomic uncertainty prompted taking extra capital to give more room to build and go to market. Searchable.ai is a stealth search startup focused on improving findability across an organization’s documents and assets by enabling natural‑language questions that locate specific pieces of information within files. The product aims to surface atomic units of knowledge (e.g., a slide, worksheet cell, or answer inside a document) rather than just entire documents. The company says the capability will help knowledge workers sift through the trillions of documents created annually across Microsoft Office, Google Docs, and other stores. The founding team includes serial entrepreneurs; co‑founder Brian Shin has previously helped launch and sell three companies and says he has raised $100M in venture capital over his career.
