SECO, founded in 1979 and headquartered in Arezzo, Tuscany, designs and manufactures single-board micro-computers and ready-to-use integrated systems for industrial, medical, automotive and IoT applications. The company also developed UDOO, an open-source single-board micro-computer with a worldwide community of more than 100,000 developers serving education, makers and IoT markets. SECO has more than 250 employees and generated revenue in excess of €50 million in 2017. It maintains subsidiaries in the U.S., Germany and Taiwan and a network of collaborations with universities and research centres including CERN, Politecnico di Milano and Carnegie Mellon. SECO lists technology partnerships with major vendors such as Intel, Microsoft, Google, AMD, NXP, NVIDIA and Qualcomm. The company plans to use new capital to accelerate international expansion and support an M&A strategy.
