Overview
Founded in 1979 by Daniele Conti and Luciano Secciani, Seco designs and manufactures micro-computers and integrated systems for industrial applications. The company also created UDOO, an open-source single-board micro-computer used in education, maker, and IoT markets and supported by a community of more than 100,000 developers. Seco has built a network of collaborations with universities and research centres including La Sapienza, National University of Singapore, Politecnico di Milano, INFN, CERN and others. It supports customers worldwide such as Cimbali, Esaote, Technogym and Vimar and has subsidiaries in the U.S., Germany and Taiwan. The company employs more than 250 people and generated revenue in excess of €50m in 2017. Seco intends to use new funds to accelerate international expansion and pursue acquisitions.
