SEDLine, Inc. is a newly-formed company, formerly operated by Hospira, focused on expanding the scope and applications of neuromonitoring. Its core product is a four-channel brain-function monitor that simultaneously analyzes, quantifies and displays both sides of the brain's electrical activity to measure effects of anesthesia and sedation. That monitor is currently in use at several leading U.S. healthcare institutions. The company is based in Irvine, California. SEDLine received a $3.5m strategic investment from Masimo Corporation, which may increase its investment subject to certain financial and development milestones. The funding will allow SEDLine to continue supporting existing customers, market to new customers, and expand its research and development efforts.
