Sedron develops and deploys the Varcor technology, a system that separates liquid waste streams into purified water, nutrient products, and concentrated fuel while using roughly ten times less energy than conventional alternatives. The company operates a large-scale Agriculture Upcycling project in Fair Oaks, Indiana that processes manure from a 20,000‑cow operation into tens of thousands of tons of organic fertilizer annually, and is commissioning an additional project on a 10,000‑cow dairy in Wisconsin with commercial operations beginning this summer. Sedron also has an active Municipal Biosolids Upcycling business and recently announced a strategic partnership with Synagro for a regional biosolids facility in Indiantown, Florida, with construction expected to start in spring and commissioning scheduled for 2028. The Varcor outputs include purified water that can meet discharge or reuse standards, a dry organic fertilizer, and a liquid organic ammonium nitrate fertilizer certified for organic farming. Sedron emphasizes methane reduction, nutrient runoff prevention, and destruction of persistent contaminants like PFAS when its products are used in electricity generation. The company was founded in 2014 as a spin-off from Janicki Industries and is scaling commercial deployment and manufacturing with new capital from Ara Partners.
