SeeFlik runs an online film competition exclusive to students and recent graduates from accredited undergraduate and graduate film programs, initially holding two concurrent short-film competitions twice a year. One competition, the Judges Award, is decided by a panel of industry judges including Michael London, Shane Black, Angelo Pizzo, Keir Pearson, Robert Kamen and Suzanne de Passe; the Fans Favorite is determined by public voting. The company provides $50,000 in prize money and a winners’ showcase for talent agencies and studios. SeeFlik has established relationships with numerous film schools and plans to expand its network of affiliated colleges and universities. The platform launched from Los Angeles and will use classroom, social media, email and traditional marketing to connect students and alumni to the festival. The executive team is led by CEO Larry Meli, with David Greenblatt serving as an advisor and mentor to contest winners.
