Seek
Barranco, Lima, Peru
Overview
Seek builds a natural-language interface for data that plugs into existing cloud data warehouses and communication apps like Slack and Microsoft Teams, enabling nontechnical users to ask data questions. Its platform uses a family of AI language models trained on public sources and proprietary data, and stores user questions and answers in a knowledge base so responses improve with use. The company says it has roughly a dozen customers ranging from startups to the Fortune 100 across industries including SaaS, fintech, direct-to-consumer and consumer packaged goods, and it employs nine people. Seek has a patent pending for a “control flow” designed to limit AI inaccuracies and positions itself against enterprise cognitive search rivals such as Amazon Kendra and Microsoft SharePoint Syntex. Founder and CEO Sarah Nagy, a former quant and data scientist, says the product aims to automate repetitive data-team work and improve knowledge workers’ productivity. Near-term plans include growing the engineering and data-science team, building app integrations, automating onboarding and improving customer experience.
