Seekyo
4 rue Carol Heitz, Poitiers, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, 86000, France
Overview
Founded in 2018 by Oury Chetboun and Professor Sébastien Papot, Seekyo develops SKY01, a therapeutic vector that detects tumors and delivers treatment selectively to malignant tissues. The company targets solid tumors including pancreatic, lung, triple-negative breast, colon, and head-and-neck cancers and positions its approach as an alternative to antibody–drug conjugates by targeting the tumor microenvironment without monoclonal antibodies. Seekyo has completed preclinical studies in mice and claims improved effectiveness against solid tumors while limiting damage to healthy cells. Financially, the startup raised a seed package to validate its flagship drug and advance preclinical testing. The proceeds will fund toxicology and pharmacokinetics studies and support preparation for regulatory preclinical trials. Management says it is preparing a new fundraising round in 2020 with the goal of entering human clinical trials within 24 months.
