Seen is a social video messaging app that lets friends record live video reactions to shared TikToks and other content. Available on iOS, the app supports private one-on-one iMessages and group chats of up to 11 people where recipients must record a reaction video viewable only by the sender and mutual friends. Seen integrates with TikTok for direct sharing, offers a scrollable feed of popular TikToks, and supports uploads from the iPhone camera roll; integrations with YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels are planned. The app launched on the App Store earlier this month and already has thousands of users; the company said it plans an Android release but did not provide a date. Founders are Faheem Kajee and actress Karen Gillan, who has been involved in both conceptualization and distribution. Seen has raised $1 million from notable backers. Future product plans include a public discovery feed, creator–fan interactions, and monetization via premium features, games, filters, and advertising that leverages anonymized reaction data.
