Self Care Catalysts, based in Toronto and San Francisco, provides Health Storylines™, a mobile and web-based patient intelligence, analytics and self care platform, and Patient Storylines™, an enterprise data and behavior analytics platform. Led by CEO Grace Soyao, the company pivoted from a patient research company to healthcare informatics. It is actively working with pharmaceutical companies, research foundations and patient advocacy organizations to bring Health Storylines™ to patients. The company raised CDN$2m in seed funding and has raised a total of $2.7M to date. The new funds will be used to further develop Health Storylines™. The seed investor was Prosoft Development Inc., a privately‑owned company that invests in information technology, software development, consulting and solutions for the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
