Overview
SelfieJobs is a Stockholm-based startup that launched a smartphone service to let job seekers and employers quickly find each other using short videopitches. The core product replaces long CVs with brief video pitches and uses algorithms to match candidates and companies by location, interests and other factors. Founder Martin Tall said the concept was inspired by Tinder’s 'swipe and like' model and aims to simplify hiring for simpler jobs. The company launched in Sweden and described itself as 'Tinder for the Jobs', with plans to target European and US markets. In conjunction with the Swedish launch SelfieJobs raised a €108K seed round led by angel investor and former Microsoft Nordic Director Jan Eric Ramstedt to fund launch and expansion. An update in May 2023 in the article notes the startup appears to no longer be operating under the original website and the link was deactivated.
