Overview
Sen is a London-based startup developing ultra-high-definition, real-time video streams of Earth from a planned constellation of satellites. Its inaugural ETV-AI satellite launched aboard a SpaceX rideshare from Cape Canaveral roughly 11 months ago and each spacecraft carries four cameras calibrated for different spatial resolutions. Sen says its highest-resolution camera can produce 8K video with usable imagery down to about 1.5 metres above ground level. The company plans a 100-satellite constellation designed to blanket the globe with UHD imagery that would orbit Earth approximately every 90 minutes and to support humanitarian aid responses to natural disasters. Sen will offer a free-to-view UHD feed alongside a premium commercial tier that lets organisations download UHD-enriched aerial footage for granular regional insights. Founder and CEO Charles Black has been building the business for eight years after a 2019 pilot of the UHD video technology, and the company has raised over £7 million to date.
