Seniovo
Alt-Moabit 90, Berlin, 10559, Germany
Overview
Seniovo operates an online platform that creates customised bathroom renovation offers via a five-step questionnaire to enable barrier-free, safe movement for elderly residents. The company also applies for subsidies on behalf of long-term care recipients and partners with long-term care insurance funds that can cover up to €4,000 per tenant. Founded in 2016 and based in Berlin, Seniovo has completed around 1,000 B2C renovations to date. The startup has partnered with residential property group Vonovia to modernise age-appropriate and barrier-free bathrooms for tenants at no cost to those tenants through its insurance partnerships. Seniovo recently received governmental coronavirus relief aid for startups showing “extraordinary growth potential,” with IBB announcing a second round of aid in late July. The fresh capital is earmarked to expand the company’s B2B arm and scale partnerships with property groups and insurers. Seniovo is a Berlin-based proptech that digitises and manages age-appropriate, barrier-free reconstruction of apartments and houses for people in need of long-term care. The company digitalises the entire application and reconstruction process, executing work with its own craftsmen or procuring certified partners. Seniovo applies for subsidies for clients with a reported 95% success rate, and in many cases its clients do not have to make additional private payments. The startup reports annual revenue growth of over 250% and will use the new capital to continue that expansion. Planned uses of funds include entering new geographical regions, launching new products, further digitalisation of processes, and expanding its B2B business. CEO and founder Jonathan Kohl cited growth and efficiency gains from the investment as priorities.
