Seno Medical Instruments develops opto-acoustic imaging tools for breast cancer diagnosis, combining light-in/sound-out technology with conventional ultrasound in its Imagio® device. Imagio provides a blood map in and around suspicious breast masses without ionizing radiation or injectable contrast agents. The company is led by CEO Janet Campbell and is based in San Antonio, Texas. Seno is conducting a U.S. Pivotal Study of Imagio and is pursuing CE Mark approval in Europe, targeting approval by the end of Q1 2014. Financially, the company secured Series C equity financing to support those clinical and regulatory activities.
