Sense is a San Francisco startup offering a browser-based collaboration environment where data scientists can perform interactive analyses, run batch jobs, and operate long-running services. The product supports multiple open-source languages and engines—including Julia, Python, R, Apache Hive, Spark, Impala, and Presto—and lets users fork projects, star workspaces, open a command line, and visualize results, all within a GitHub-inspired interface. Models created in Sense can be instantly deployed as APIs for software developers to embed in applications.
