SensioLabs builds services (code reviewing, training, consulting) and commercial products for the Symfony ecosystem, including quality-control and performance-optimization tools. The company recently unveiled SensioLabs Insights, a testing-suite product currently in private beta. SensioLabs is a spin-off from a web agency created in 1998 and the team originally created the Symfony framework in 2005, giving it deep framework expertise. Symfony has an active community with meetups and conferences, and SensioLabs counts clients such as Lagardère, TOEFL, RATP, Virgin Mobile and French ministries. The startup was about a year old at the time of the article and had roughly 80 employees across France, Germany and the U.K. SensioLabs raised capital to expand its operations around Symfony and accelerate growth.
