Odyssée - Bât. B - 3e étage 2-12 rue du Chemin des Femmes, Massy, Ile-de-France, 91300, France

Overview

Sensome develops sensing technology that combines micro‑sensors with machine‑learning to instantly identify biological tissues upon contact and turn invasive medical tools into connected devices. The company’s first product is a guidewire called Clotild; with the new funding it will test Clotild’s clinical performance and prepare the product for market. Sensome was founded in 2014 as a spin‑off from CNRS and École Polytechnique and is based in France. The startup has partnered with Asahi Intecc on a two‑year development plan to design a new connected guidewire for ischemic stroke treatment. That collaboration includes integrating Sensome’s tissue sensor into Asahi’s Chikai guidewire to improve first‑try clot removal. The company raised Series B capital to fund clinical testing and product development. Sensome builds impedance-based micro-sensors combined with machine learning to instantly identify biological tissues, a capability the company says offers unequaled predictive reliability. The sensors are extremely thin and can be integrated into existing medical devices. Its first product, Clotild™, is a connected guidewire designed to determine clot content during ischemic stroke interventions to help physicians select optimal tools and reestablish blood flow. The company says Clotild™ targets faster, more informed stroke treatment and will undergo clinical testing. Sensome plans to bring Clotild™ to the European market and to explore additional applications of its sensing technology. Sensome recently completed a €4.6 million financing round to support these clinical and market efforts.
