Overview
Sensopia builds MagicPlan, a mobile augmented-reality application that scans room dimensions with a phone camera and produces instant floor plans exportable to DXF, PDF, JPEG and HTML. The app lets users tap the camera view to label corners and doors, and the company offers a MagicPlan Cloud web service and a full-HD iPad version. Sensopia monetizes through subscription plans and enterprise adoption and has formed partnerships with Seloger, RTV, Moobz, Cocontest, Home Depot, and Symbility, the latter integrating via the newly released SDK. The app has over 4 million downloads, generates over 20,000 floor plans per day, and the company reports roughly 20% month-over-month growth. Until this round the startup was bootstrapped; CEO Pierre Gaubil said they waited to reach traction before raising capital. Sensopia plans to use the funding to accelerate growth, simplify the software, and enable three-dimensional room capture.
