SensoRy AI builds an AI-driven early wildfire detection system that uses a low-cost wireless mesh network of sensors and predictive algorithms to detect and predict fire spread in real time via an app. The technology was field tested at the Irvine Ranch Conservancy's Native Seed Farm with successful results and was presented at UC San Diego's WiFire Lab. A March 2020 Office of Naval Research (ONR) Naval Science grant enabled Honary to form the company and build a team to develop and test the platform in rugged environments. The company has received multiple rounds of funding from ONR for continued research and development. Irvine Ranch Conservancy invested $250,000 of its own funds to allow broader testing of the network, and Dr. Nathan Gregory joined SensoRy AI's Technical Advisory Board. The Orange County Fire Authority has joined as an advisor and its fire‑fighting professionals are assisting further development and testing.
