Sentience Technology offers a real-time enterprise recommendation engine that creates a knowledge graph within organizations to recommend content and sources of expertise. The product targets enterprise search and expertise-discovery use cases by combining semantic, NLP and graph-based approaches. Sentience is SeedCloud’s first venture and will be supported through the incubator’s hands-on model of market research, technical architecture and resourcing the build. SeedCloud brings experience in cloud architectures, Big Data analytics, machine learning, mobile, semantic/NLP and graph systems to the project. The incubator leverages the UK Government’s Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) to attract investor capital and typically facilitates early seed rounds and follow-on funding. Sentience has received a £500,000 fundraising facilitated by SeedCloud.
