Serán Bioscience is a CDMO that leverages physics, chemistry, materials science and engineering to design formulations and engineered solutions for pharmaceutical and biotech clients. The company offers development, analytical and clinical manufacturing services and has expertise across spray drying, melt extrusion, fluid bed processing, granulation and solid dosage forms. Serán has over 200 team members, including more than 150 scientists and engineers, and plans to hire as many as 150 additional employees as its build-out progresses. The company announced a strategic growth transaction of more than $200 million to support expansion and scale commercial manufacturing capabilities. Proceeds will fund a new commercial-scale manufacturing facility to be completed in 2026 that supports oral, pulmonary and nasal delivery modalities and commercial-scale particle engineering and finished-dose capabilities. An adjacent facility already under construction will add packaging, labeling, serialization and distribution capabilities as Serán moves toward end-to-end commercial supply.
