ServiceWhale operates an online marketplace that provides instant, custom quotes and fixed-price ordering for major home improvement projects such as HVAC, roofing, siding, windows, flooring, painting and bathroom remodels using patent-pending technology. The company also offers a white-label product, MyServiceWhale, that lets contractors generate quotes from their own websites via a widget. Led by founder and CEO Dmitri Saveliyev, ServiceWhale has been operating in and around the Philadelphia metro area since April 2015. The company raised an additional $1M in funding and has raised $2.5M in the past 14 months. ServiceWhale plans to use the new funds to launch services in New York City and to expand into Washington, DC and Boston in 2016. The business combines a self-service consumer model with tools for contractors to drive quote generation and conversions.
