Setle operates an online platform that delivers near-instant, detailed cost estimates for (sustainable) home renovations, including energy-label improvements, energy consumption, and potential subsidies and grants. The tool produces a detailed renovation report with specifications and benchmarks that estate agents can share with prospective buyers, and the report is accepted by KBC and other banks as part of loan applications. Estate agents access the service via an annual license fee; the platform is also used by prospective builders and renovators to benchmark contractor quotes and going rates. Setle is based in Limburg, was founded in 2020, and is currently used by more than 425 estate agents; the team counts around 10 members. The company plans to use new funding to expand the platform, provide KBC customers with integrated renovation services, and run pilot projects with KBC in the autumn.
