Setmixer
167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, England, W1W 5PF, United Kingdom
Overview
Setmixer builds a recording system that connects to partnered venues' mixing desks to capture multi-channel, high-resolution live audio and applies AI to assist the mixing process. Its hardware records up to 64 channels at 44.1kHz, 48kHz or 96kHz and 16, 24 or 32-bit depth, and is supplied to venues for free. The company operates a revenue-share model that returns 30% of its proceeds to venues. Setmixer is already installed at partnered venues across greater London, including Half Moon Putney and Paper Dress Vintage. Founded in late 2021 by Pascal de Mul (formerly Spotify’s global head of hardware partnerships), the startup says its mission is to bring Setmixer recordings to every venue in the UK and beyond. The product enables bands to have ready-for-streaming recordings for platforms like Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music immediately after a show.
