Seventeen has developed a system that enables tumor destruction via intracancer injection of a biocompatible gel containing radioactive particles, designed to optimize efficacy and minimize collateral effects. The company is led by Prof. Francesco Izzo, Massimo Romanelli and Lucio Fumi. Seventeen is based in Naples, Italy. It raised €4.2m in Series A funding. Backers included Panakès Partners and Innogest. The company intends to use the funds to finalize the technology and conduct clinical validation to obtain the CE mark.
