The company plans to use new capital to fund potential acquisitions and initial drilling and completion expenditures, with particular focus on oil opportunities in the Central Basin Platform of West Texas and eastern New Mexico. Capstone's senior leadership — including CEO Phil Terry and President and COO David Ricks — bring experience from Arena Resources, a public company that was sold to SandRidge Energy for $1.6 billion in 2010.
