Sharelock builds smart padlocks and a mobile app that let users reserve, access and monitor parking for bicycles, scooters and similar micro-mobility vehicles. The lock detects vandalism and attempted theft and, via an integrated insurance partner, automatically releases a €200 reimbursement within 48 hours if a theft is proven. Users access devices through the app much like reserving a shared vehicle, and the system notifies users of security incidents. Sharelock collects mobility and usage data that it offers to partners such as cities and mobile operators to inform trip optimization tools and insurance product deployments. The company says it is already developing insurance-sector innovations and will use new funding to accelerate padlock production and hire new team members. Sharelock is preparing for a wider deployment with the Ile-de-France region.
