Shark Gitar was designed and brought to production readiness by guitarist‑entrepreneur Cem Köksal with co‑founders Bayram Tekçe and Bahtiyar Balci. The product is a modular electric guitar featuring patent‑protected metal components, interchangeable necks, bodies and pickups, and the ability to attach effect pedals. The company holds six patents and began R&D around five years ago; founders say patent completion brings them to a point where serial production is possible. Shark Gitar showed its first 20 guitars at the NAMM Show in the U.S. and reported strong industry interest. The company plans retail availability through partner music stores from autumn 2024 and offers online customization via sharkguitars.com and the Shark 3D Designer; components will be sold separately through the Ocean Environment compatibility platform. Financially, the startup completed a €2.5 million investment round at a €20 million valuation.
