Shipsy plans to use new funding to grow its presence in the Middle East, India and Southeast Asian markets and to accelerate expansion into Europe and the US. It also intends to drive rapid technological innovation with a focus on logistics sustainability and enhancements to its AI, ML and blockchain capabilities. The company was co-founded by Sahil Arora, Dhruv Agrawal, Himanshu Gupta, Soham Chokshi and Harsh Kumar. The product reduces incidental charges, improves shipping turnaround time, and uses advanced machine-learning models to minimise working capital loss. The company reports over three-fold revenue growth in the past 18 months and says its customer base more than doubled over the lockdown period. Customers are located across Dubai, Saudi Arabia, North Africa, Singapore, and Malaysia. Shipsy says it has run profitably to date. The company plans to use new funding to fuel growth, pursue aggressive geographical expansion, and invest in product innovation. Shipsy builds data-driven decision-making platforms for enterprises in the logistics sector, having pivoted from a C2C last-mile delivery model. After angel funding from Dheeraj Jain, the company refocused on providing software to eliminate inefficiencies in logistics operations. Its platform targets e-commerce and e-fulfilment segments and aims to strengthen operators' logistics stacks. The recent investment from DTDC will be used to bolster its technology infrastructure and expand its solution offerings. The company expects the DTDC association to stabilise revenues and help it achieve break-even within the next financial year. Shipsy is run by Llama Logisol Pvt Ltd and was founded by a group of IIT Madras and IIT Delhi alumni.
