Shoefitr is an early-stage Pittsburgh, PA-based technology company that provides a shoe-fitting application. Led by CEO Matt Wilkinson, the company uses 3D scanning technology to scan the insides of shoes from various manufacturers to help online shoe shoppers find the right fit. It partners with manufacturers such as New Balance, Saucony and Brooks and counts customers including RunningWarehouse.com and Netshoes, a large Brazilian online footwear retailer. The running community also accesses Shoefitr on sites of popular media like Runner’s World. The company received $1.2m in funding and intends to use the funds to accelerate its growth path. Backers include Vital Financial LLC, which committed $500k, BlueTree Allied Angels and Innovation Works.
