Shopper
Parque Industrial Tomas Edson, 646, São Paulo, SP, 01144-010, Brazil
Overview
Shopper operates a Subscribe & Save style online supermarket focused on recurring purchases of cleaning, hygiene, food, beverages, pet products and household items, with customers building saved baskets and scheduling monthly deliveries. The company manages procurement, distribution-center operations and last-mile delivery to avoid large inventories and reduce waste. Shopper reports more than 250,000 people registered on its platform and says it doubles revenue roughly every four months; its team grew from about 150 employees early in 2020 to over 500 today. The company cites an NPS of 87 and claims customers save on average 10% versus traditional online supermarkets (about R$1,200 per year for a family spending R$1,000/month). With the new capital, Shopper plans to expand into many more municipalities (currently in 22 cities in São Paulo state, targeting at least 60 by the end of 2021), accelerate hiring (about 500 new openings planned by year-end) and speed deployment of new technologies. The founders, Bruna Vaz (COO) and Fábio Rodas (CEO), started the business in 2015 and were recognized on Forbes Under 30 for the venture.
