ShopTap operates The Hunt, a mobile app and community that helps users identify clothing and accessories by snapping photos. The app surfaces details and links to items sourced from other people on the platform. In November the company launched its iOS app and completed a $5.5M funding round. According to a Form D filed with the SEC, ShopTap has raised about $5.8M in its latest financing and is aiming for a total just under $8M for the offering. Investors in the current raise include Khosla Ventures and Javelin Venture Partners. The new capital is intended to help the company reach more users seeking fashion sources. ShopTap declined to comment on the round.
